Mike getting ready for the fun run
June Fun  Run,

Getting ready for the good
times. This was our 1st Fun
Run and it was a blast.
This was a great time with lots going on. Our fun Run was 32 miles of trails and back roads.
Everyone had a smile and compliment for the shape of our trails, and how well they were
marked. At 5:00PM we had a great Potluck, with more food then we all could eat. Around
dusk, there were fireworks set off by Jeff Maxwell, that would rival any big town. Jeff did a
great job, and they lasted for an hour and 35 min.
They don't call use Dust
Devils for nothing.
And the winner is:
Gene and Marlene Creutzberg ( high Hand)
Zack Sims ( Low Hand)
50/50  Curtis Jones
And the winner of the trivia contest is:
Nolene Banks and Larry Mitchell
July Fun Run
Many made Elk City fireworks a success
Letter of Thanks - Early

We would like to thank the following businesses, organizations and
individuals who helped make the fireworks in Elk City such a huge success.
They lasted an hour-and-a-half and were worth every minute of it. Elk City is
lucky to have people who care and want to help make the Fourth of July
celebration fun and enjoyable for everyone.
I want to thank Wanda Parton for taking the time to contact everyone who
made donations for the fireworks, Actionaire for donating 500 more fireworks
to add to what we already had and Jeff Maxwell and his crew for the excellent
job of lighting them off. Jeff went and picked up the fireworks and he did a
great job of picking them out and everyone enjoyed the job Jeff did for Elk
City. Thanks to Elk Creek Station and Café, Elk City General Store, Elk City
Archers, Elk City Volunteer Fire Department, Elk City Ladies Auxiliary, Elk
City Dust Devils ATV Club, VFW Wilderness Post 8311, Back Country Meals,
Norstrand, Wayne Hasenoehrl, Joyce Markee and Actionaire.
